Ross Iannoccaro

With over 40 years experience in martial arts, Ross Iannoccaro is one of the UK's most respected and well rounded teachers and coach.

In October 2008 Soke Fumon Tanaka granted Ross Iannoccaro a new title of Tasshi, expert master, a classical title and forerunner of Kyoshi.

In December 2005 Ross was promoted to 7th Dan and given the title of Kyoshi Koden Enshin Kyu by Soke Fumon Tanaka. He is the first non-Japanese martial artist to recieve the rank of Kyoshi (Master), from Soke Fumon Tanaka (Japan).

In 1980 he formed his own jujutsu association 
Tai Jutsu Kai which has produced many talented jujutsuka as well as British & World Champions.


In 1990 he formed the NJJKC, dedicated to the promotion of sport Jujutsu. His kumite format has become one of the most successful and widely accepted sporting formats ever devised for jujutsu practitioners.

In April 2000 Ross launched Grapple & Strike, the full contact fighting mixed martial arts showcase. Grapple & Strike invites fighters from all styles to try their skills in an event that many would call the complete fighting challenge. With 12 successful competitions under its belt, it has proved to be an evening of glamour and excitement.
