As we approach Christmas, I can’t help but reflect on what has been a hugely challenging year for everyone.
Like so many other sport’s, TJK had planned many events to celebrate its 40th anniversary and although disappointing, it seems insignificant to the hardships many have had to face.
More importantly, I hope that you and your loved ones have all stayed safe, and that you continue to do so through these difficult times.
I was very pleased to have seen most of you resume your training after the first lockdown ended, and truly humbled with the support and goodwill expressed to me and all the TJK coaches.
I would like to thank Sensei Lee for doing such a great job in putting together a curriculum which allowed us to practice many skills whilst adhering to the social distance rules. The sessions proved to be very successful and enjoyable.
Also, well done to Sensei Andy for the online resources he put together for his students through the lock downs, and Sensei Ray for his expert advice, updating TJK policies and guidance, in line with the Government guidelines.
Let’s hope that the new year will bring a better forecast and an end to this pandemic which will allow us to get back to some sort of normality. The PM mentioned that the new vaccines would act as a kind of “Biological Jujutsu”..
Let’s hope he’s right, but in the meantime, we will do all we can to stay determined and positive.
On behalf of all the Sensei’s
I wish you all a Fabulous Christmas & a Happy and Healthy New Year.
Sincerely
Sensei Ross
