Taijutsu Kai Celebrates 45 Years of Legacy and Loyalty.

This weekend, nearly 400 members of Tai Jutsu Kai, came together across two vibrant sessions spanning over 5 hours, for TJK's 45th Annual Seminar. With heartfelt appearances from members past and present, including members from the 1980s and 1990s, paying tribute to Hanshi Ross Iannoccaro.

Immersive training led by TJK’s top instructors, covering:

  • Jujutsu fundamentals
  • Modern self-defence and sport applications
  • Classical samurai arts, including Bojutsu (6ft staff)
  • Fun zone for all our wonderful little warriors

A celebration of Taijutsu Kai’s evolution, from its authentic traditional roots to modern-day personal safety techniques, honouring the full spectrum of this rich martial art.

Honours and Promotions

In recognition of long standing dedication and service to Taijutsu Kai and its founder:

  • Sensei Daniel Tamblyn Awarded 5th Dan (Godan)
  • Sensei Tim Webb Awarded 5th Dan (Godan)
  • Shihan Amanda Wright Promoted to 6th Dan (Rokudan) and honoured with the title Shihan
  • Kyoshi Lee Iannoccaro Bestowed the title Kyoshi and Guardian of TJK

The Highest Honour

Founder Ross Iannoccaro, marking his 54th year in martial arts and the visionary behind Taijutsu Kai since 1980, was honoured with the prestigious title of Hanshi a symbol of mastery, leadership, and lifelong contribution.

Loyalty Recognised

40 black belt holders were celebrated with the Bushido Loyalty Award, a tribute to their enduring commitment and dedication to their Senseis and Taijutsu Kai.
